The Google Sheets import lets you maintain your keyword lists in a spreadsheet and bring them into Linkstonic with a single click. Instead of entering keywords one by one, you keep your list in Sheets — where your team can collaborate, add notes, and organize by client or campaign — and sync it to Linkstonic whenever you’re ready.
Google Sheets import is available on Pro and Agency plans. On Starter, you can add keywords manually from the Keywords section.

Set up a Google Sheets import

1

Prepare your spreadsheet

Put one keyword per row in column A, starting from row 1. Linkstonic reads keywords from this column during import. You can use column B and beyond for notes, labels, or metadata — those columns are ignored during import.
2

Check sheet accessibility

Make sure the spreadsheet is either shared with the Google account you use to log in to Linkstonic, or set to Anyone with the link can view. Linkstonic needs at least view access to read the contents.
3

Go to Keywords → Import from Sheets

In Linkstonic, navigate to the Keywords section for your current brand and click Import from Sheets.
4

Paste the Sheet URL or ID

Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar while the spreadsheet is open, or use just the Sheet ID from the URL. Paste it into the import field.
5

Select the tab and column

Choose the specific sheet tab that contains your keywords, and confirm the column (column A by default).
6

Click Import

Click Import. Linkstonic reads the keywords from your sheet and adds them to your current brand’s keyword list. Duplicate keywords are skipped automatically.

Tips for organizing your keyword sheet

  • One sheet per brand. If you manage multiple clients, keep each brand’s keywords on a separate sheet tab within the same spreadsheet, or use separate spreadsheet files. This makes re-importing cleaner and reduces the chance of mixing up keyword sets.
  • Use column B for notes. Add context like keyword priority, content status, or assigned writer in column B. These notes stay in your spreadsheet and don’t interfere with the import.
  • Keep a header row. If you use a header row (e.g., “Keyword” in A1), Linkstonic will import it as a keyword. Either remove headers before importing or start your keywords in column A from row 1 without headers.

Re-importing to pick up new keywords

Google Sheets import is not a live sync — it’s a manual import you trigger when you’re ready. When you add new keywords to your spreadsheet, return to Keywords → Import from Sheets and run the import again. New keywords are added to your list; existing keywords are not duplicated or overwritten.
Keep a single master keyword spreadsheet shared with your team. When the list changes, re-import to Linkstonic in seconds. This gives your team one source of truth for keywords without locking everyone into the Linkstonic interface.
