# Connect Google Search Console to Linkstonic

> Link your GSC property to unlock keyword rankings, top pages analytics, and Lag internal linking gap analysis — all powered by your real search data.

Connecting Google Search Console gives Linkstonic access to your real search performance data. Once connected, you can track keyword positions, analyze your top pages, view clicks, impressions, and CTR, and run Lag analysis to surface internal linking gaps — all from inside Linkstonic without switching between tools.

<Warning>
  Google Search Console integration requires a Pro or Agency plan. Upgrade your plan to enable this integration.

## Connect your Google Search Console property

Linkstonic supports two connection methods. OAuth is the easiest option for most users. Service account access is recommended for agencies and enterprise teams managing multiple properties.

  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Service Account (enterprise / agency)">

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Create a service account">
        In the [Google Cloud Console](https://console.cloud.google.com/), navigate to **IAM & Admin → Service Accounts** and create a new service account for Linkstonic.
      </Step>

        Open the service account, go to the **Keys** tab, click **Add Key → Create new key**, and choose **JSON**. Download the key file.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Grant Search Console access">
        In Google Search Console, go to **Settings → Users and permissions** for the property you want to connect. Add the service account email address (ending in `@...gserviceaccount.com`) as a **Full** or **Restricted** user.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Upload the key to Linkstonic">
        Go to **Settings → Integrations → Google Search Console**, select **Service Account**, and upload the JSON key file you downloaded.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Select your property">

      </Step>
    </Steps>
  </Tab>

## What syncs after connecting

Once your property is connected, Linkstonic pulls the following data from Google Search Console:

* **Keyword positions** — average position for each query your site ranks for
* **Clicks and impressions** — how often your pages appear in search results and how often they're clicked
* **Click-through rate (CTR)** — the ratio of clicks to impressions for each keyword
* **Top pages** — which pages receive the most organic traffic from search
* **Country data** — breakdown of search performance by country

This data powers [Keyword Rankings](/organic-seo/keyword-rankings), [Top Pages Analytics](/organic-seo/top-pages), and [Lag internal linking analysis](/organic-seo/internal-linking).

## Revoke access

You can revoke Linkstonic's access to your Google account at any time. Go to your [Google Account permissions](https://myaccount.google.com/permissions), find Linkstonic in the list of connected apps, and click **Remove Access**. Your tokens are stored encrypted and are immediately invalidated once revoked.

## Troubleshooting

**No data is showing after connecting**

GSC data can take 24–48 hours to appear after you first connect. If data still isn't showing after that window, verify that the Search Console property you selected matches the exact domain or URL prefix of your site. A mismatch between `https://example.com` and `http://example.com` or `www.example.com` will result in no data.

**Service account connection isn't working**

Check that the service account email address has been added as a user in Search Console for the property you're trying to sync. The service account must appear under **Settings → Users and permissions** in Search Console before Linkstonic can pull data through it.
