## How tracking works

For each brand you create in Linkstonic, you define a set of keywords. Linkstonic queries each AI platform with those keywords on a regular basis and captures:

* **Mention counts** — how often your brand appears in responses
* **Position bands** — roughly where in the response your brand is mentioned (early, mid, or late)
* **Competitor co-mentions** — which competing brands appear alongside yours in the same responses
* **Full response text** — the complete AI-generated answer, so you can read exactly what each platform says

No API keys are required from you. Linkstonic uses managed integrations with each platform and handles authentication on your behalf.

## Getting started

AI platform tracking requires no connection steps. Once you create a brand and add keywords, Linkstonic begins querying the AI platforms included in your plan automatically. Your first results typically appear within the first tracking cycle after your keywords are saved.
